Futures spread narrows by 10.78pc

KARACHI: Trading activity at the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s futures counter strengthened during the week ended, with both traded volumes and values posting healthy gains over the previous week, while the futures spread narrowed amid changing market dynamics.

The futures spread narrowed by 247 basis points to 10.78 percent, compared with 13.26 percent recorded a week earlier.

Average daily turnover (ADTO) at the futures counter increased 36.4 percent week-on-week to 205.78 million shares, up from 150.88 million shares in the preceding week.

Similarly, the average daily traded value on the futures market rose 25.8 percent to Rs9.87 billion, compared with Rs7.84 billion recorded during the previous week.
