LAHORE: The local cotton market on Thursday remained steady and the trading volume remained low.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is Rs 21,500 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 10,500 to Rs 11,500 per 40 kg. The rate of cotton in Punjab is Rs 22,500 per maund and the rate of Phutti is in between Rs 11,000 to Rs 12000 per 40 kg.
Around, 1000 bales of Tando Adam, 200 bales of Nauabad were sold at Rs 21,500 per maund, 1000 bales of Sanghar were sold in between Rs 21, 350 to 21,500 per maund and 1200 bales of Shahdad Pur 21, 350 to Rs 21, 500 per maund.
The Spot Rate of the new season 2026- 2027 cotton remained unchanged at Rs 21,500 per maund.
