ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday hosted an Iftar dinner at the President’s House for orphan boys and girls under the care of the Pakistan Orphan Care Forum.

The event was held to mark Orphans Day, celebrated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during Ramazan. The day is meant to raise awareness about the problems orphans face and to promote their care, education, and protection, especially in areas affected by conflict.

Speaking at the event, President Zardari said that children are the future of Pakistan. He told the orphans that the President’s House is like their home and promised they would get modern education, scholarships, and opportunities at colleges and universities.
