LAHORE: The Judicial Activism Penal on Tuesday approached the Lahore High Court against recent increase in petroleum prices.
The petitioner argued that the government is not determining petroleum prices in accordance with trends in the international market.
The petitioner said that the hike in petroleum prices is unconstitutional and an anti-public measure that places additional burden on citizens.
The petitioner, therefore, asked the court to declare the recent notification regarding the increase in petroleum product prices null and void.
