ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday adjourned the hearing of a protest case against Aleema Khan, the sister of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, until February 16, while upholding her non-bailable arrest warrants.

The hearing was postponed after Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the ATC took urgent leave. The court had previously issued the non-bailable arrest warrants for Khan, who was summoned to appear before the court.

The proceedings had been scheduled to include the cross-examination of two prosecution witnesses, both investigating officers, but were delayed due to the adjournment.

The court reiterated its order for the arrest of the accused and instructed that she be produced in court at the next hearing.

In a separate development, a local court extended the pre-arrest bail of Simabia Tahir, a local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), until February 19. She faces charges over alleged anti-state posts on X.

The case, heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, was delayed as the record was unavailable for review.

The court ordered that the full case record be presented at the next hearing, rescheduling it for February 19.
