KARACHI: Gold and silver prices continued bull-run, breaching previous records on Thursday, as international bullion market surpassed USD5,500 per ounce, traders said.
Another single day record rise of Rs21,200 drove local gold prices to new high of Rs572,862 per tola and Rs18,175 to Rs491,136 per 10 grams, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said.
On the international front, gold bullion prices soared further by USD212 to fresh historic height of USD5,505 per ounce. Similarly, silver value touched new market cap of USD117 per ounce, surging by USD3, it cited.
Following the global trend, domestic silver prices also grew to fresh all-time high of Rs12,175 per tola and Rs10,438 per 10 grams, mounting by Rs264 and Rs227, respectively, the association added.
