LAHORE: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (CBD Punjab) has once again raised the bar in urban development by introducing a revolutionary 100-year life sewage system at Nawaz Sharif IT City (NSIT City), marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in Pakistan’s urban infrastructure landscape.

Designed to be four times more durable than conventional sewage networks, this state-of-the-art system represents a significant advancement in long-term sustainability, resilience, and smart city planning. While traditional sewage systems are typically designed for a lifespan of around 25 years, CBD Punjab’s innovative solution is engineered to remain functional for a full century, significantly minimizing future reconstruction requirements and operational disruptions.

The advanced sewage infrastructure has been meticulously planned to cater to NSIT City’s future expansion, high-density development, and evolving urban needs. By prioritizing durability and performance, CBD Punjab aims to ensure uninterrupted services for residents, businesses, and technology enterprises operating within Pakistan’s first STZA-approved IT city.

Commenting on the achievement, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, stated at CBD Punjab, we are committed to redefining urban infrastructure standards in Pakistan. The introduction of a 100-year life sewage system at NSIT City is a major milestone in sustainable development and resilient city planning. Unlike conventional short-term solutions, this initiative reflects our vision of building future-ready cities that create long-term value for generations. This landmark development forms part of CBD Punjab’s broader strategy to integrate innovative, sustainable, and globally benchmarked solutions into its urban projects.
