HYDERABAD: A high-level meeting was held today at Shehbaz Hall under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hyderabad Division, Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, to review in detail the progress of Autobhan Road Phase III and other important development projects.

The meeting discussed the progress of various flagship development schemes, including Tando Jam Bypass, Hussainabad to Latifabad No. 11 Road, and Abdul Sattar Edhi Road Phase II and Phase III. Participants included Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Shoro, DIG Hyderabad Tariq Raza Dharejo, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, SSP Adeel Chandio, Municipal Commissioner Zahoor Lakhan, DS Pakistan Railways Mehmood-ur-Rehman Lakho, along with officers from WAPDA, Sui Gas, PTCL, other concerned departments, and representatives of the Site Association.

Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon briefed the meeting on issues hindering development works, including relocation of utility connections, shifting of electricity poles, relocation of water and Sui Gas lines, encroachments, and land acquisition matters.

The Commissioner sought progress updates from the concerned departments regarding the relocation of utility connections and directed them to provide clear timelines.

The issue of encroachments in the city was also discussed in detail. The Deputy Commissioner proposed the permanent deployment of police personnel to prevent pushcart vendors from occupying roads. The Commissioner issued clear instructions that Wadhu Wah Road must be completely cleared of encroachments and kept clean, as it creates the first impression for people entering the city.

Concluding the meeting, Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbasi stated that all development projects are in the public interest and that no negligence in their execution will be tolerated. He directed all concerned departments to resolve issues promptly through mutual coordination and ensure the completion of development works within the stipulated timeframe.
