LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif said in her message on International Human Rights Day that Islam is the greatest advocate of human rights.
She noted that the first comprehensive charter of human rights was Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)’s farewell sermon. She added that our beloved Prophet (PBUH) did a favor to humanity by giving an unparalleled charter of human rights, as he (PBUH) gave an immortal message of human rights to all humanity. She highlighted that 10th December is a day to raise awareness about human rights that every human being has human rights beyond color, race, religion, gender or status.
She said, “We reiterate our commitment to protect human rights of every citizen.”
The chief minister said that respect for human rights is a cornerstone of development and prosperity of society. She added that protection and promotion of human rights is the vision and top priority of Pakistan Muslim League (N)
