KARACHI: The Sindh High Court took up K-Electric’s MYT petitions along with the petitions filed by the industries for hearing on Wednesday.
The industries customers, represented by Barrister Ayaan Memon, have been aggrieved by Nepra’s revised MYT for KE as it adds a burden of Rs28 billion on them due to the retrospective fuel charges adjustment from FY24.
The industries have argued that it places a massive burden on their financials that had been closed months ago.
The government of Pakistan and Nepra lawyers sought copies of the petitions and time to file their comments.
The court ordered that the interim relief provided to KE earlier remains in place until the next hearing.
The court adjourned the hearing to December 10, 2025.
