LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought reply from Director General (DG) Lahore Development Authority (LDA) by November 24 in a contempt petition filed by an employee Muhammad Riaz.
The petitioner contended that departmental promotion committee promoted him at the post of senior draft man but the respondent DG refused to implement the decision.
He approached the court against the respondent for implementing the promotion committee’s decision.
The court directed the respondent DG to decide the matter but respondent did not abide by the court order.
The petitioner, therefore, approached the court again and asked the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondent DG.
