Dar holds meeting on Pak-Oman JMC agenda

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to finalise Pakistan’s agenda for the upcoming 8th Session of the Pakistan–Oman Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), being held in Islamabad next week.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed progress across all key areas of bilateral cooperation.

Ishaq Dar emphasized a comprehensive and result-oriented approach to strengthen Pak-Oman relations, focusing on trade, investment, energy, manpower export & maritime collaboration. He underscored the importance of accelerating MoUs in key sectors, deepening cooperation in education, logistics, and consular affairs, and aligning efforts to boost exports and clinch employment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretaries EAD & Interior, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, senior representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other concerned ministries.
