Pakistan cricket head coach Mickey Arthur has stated that all rounder and current Karachi Kings skipper Imad Wasim can be seen leading the national team in the future, however, for the time being Arthur seems content with current skipper Sarfraz Ahmed leading in all formats.

“In future Imad Wasim probably can be Pakistan’s captain, but Saffy (Sarfraz) is entrenched in of all forms of the game and as long as I am coaching Pakistan I am going to have Sarfraz Ahmed with me,” said Arthur, at the post match conference.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi expressed his desire to see Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim leading the national side in the future.

“Imad Wasim is in my eye as somebody who can lead Pakistan in future,” said Sethi, while addressing a press conference at the Pakistan Super League trophy unveiling ceremony held on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the head coach informed about his plans after PSL, while talking about the upcoming tour of West Indies in April.

“Straight after that we will be going into T20s with the West Indies. I have got a very clear picture in my mind about the t20 side, world cup side and the test side. We are going to take medical test, fitness test straight after the West Indies series,” he said.

The West Indies will play T20I on 1st, 2nd and 4th of the month at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
