ISLAMABAD: The Minister of State for Interior Affairs Talal Chaudhary on Wednesday urged that, "Parliament is the most supreme state institution and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) desire more respect for the state institutions.
Speaking to the media outside an accountability court Chaudhary said it is yet to be seen if the Parliament is receiving its due respect and rights.
"The Parliament should not be turned into a municipal committee," he said, adding that the entire system needs to be scrutinized.
PML-N leader said that parliament, like the judiciary, also deserves respect, adding that any discord between these institutions would harm the state.
"Every institution, he believed, should work in its domain as it would help for the bright future of Pakistan.
