Daniyal Aziz submits reply in contempt of court case

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz on Monday submitted reply in the contempt of court case and said he had always been respectful to the courts and had never violated the code while talking about any pending case.

He pleaded the Supreme Court to withdraw show cause notice issued to him.

The minister also submitted that media reported talks out of the context and false reporting had always brought negative consequences.

He also pleaded that he had always talked about the pending cases within the parameters of the code of conduct and news channels had the responsibility not to broadcast the speeches violating the code of conduct.

The minister pleaded to issue a court order to ensure implementation on the code of conduct for media.

The federal minister further said he had never tried to undermine the dignity of constitutional institutions in his speeches and had never created hurdle in the process of providing justice.
