China’s 2023/24 sugar output to rise 9% y/y to 9.8mn T

BEIJING: China’s sugar output in the 2023/2024 season is estimated to rise 9% from the previous season to 9.8 million metric tons because of a rise in the planting of sugar cane, the state planner said on Wednesday.
