ISLAMABAD: A special session of Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has unanimously approved various initiatives to be broached with friendly countries and directed to fast-track implementation of various projects conceived under these initiatives.

The meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Friday was held to foster strategic partnerships with friendly countries.

The committee reviewed the existing level of collaboration and unanimously approved various initiatives to be broached with friendly countries and directed to fast-track implementation of various projects conceived under these initiatives.

SIFC satisfied with SOE sell-off progress

The caretaker prime minister appreciated the efforts of concerned ministries for identifying prospective areas of collaboration and directed all stakeholders for realisation of envisioned long term economic dividends.

The Chief of Army Staff assured unwavering resolve of Pakistan Army to support economic initiatives being undertaken by Government of Pakistan. The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff, ministers, and high level government officials.

Keep trying for the umpteen times and weave a fairy tale for personal entertainment. SIFC members need a strong dose of common sense, here is a hint, infrastructure and cost of doing business!

Doing some thing positive is better than doing nothings. Looking for law or elected govt. for taking economic decisions are not reasonable justification for delaying things, Timely decisions could bring positive change.

Welldone Govt and Army Chief for creating SIFC..Please make a internal decision council which decide the Key Govt policies, mandatory for survival of Pakistan..Like Explusion of Afghan Refugees, Expanding the tax net, Key Infrastructure projects, Reforms in Bureaucracy etc etc

Respected & honourable, Kindly open & start Pakistan Steel Mill at Karachi, now Iron is nearly Rs. 280 to 300 per kg. How much we/pakistan spend too dollars to import Iron & it's different kind of it's product, so sale it & reopen with advance technology with helping Germany, China, Korea and others countries with suitable relation or investment with share beses plz. It is also use student of Metolargical Engineers from different universities even experienced persons or import excellent Pakistani persons from foriegn countries. We must improve basic infrastructure then it easy to develop our country as Korea, Taiwan, China, Turkey, Mylishia, Thailand etc.
