PARIS: France's President Emmanuel Macron is being kept up to date with events in the Burkina Faso capital after gunmen launched an attack in the centre of the city in the vicinity of the French Embassy, the Elysee Palace said on Friday.
The Elysee statement urged French nationals to follow alerts from the embassy.
