MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday he wanted Russia to spend 5 percent of its annual gross domestic product on healthcare.
Putin told lawmakers that better healthcare would help to reduce the mortality rate among people of working age and said medical services had to be improved in Russia's small towns and villages.
