Hong Kong stocks finish with a big loss

HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks finished with steep losses Friday on profit-taking after a huge jump earlier in the week, and as traders nervously await the release of US jobs data later in the day.

Hong Kong stocks end slightly lower

The Hang Seng Index sank 1.51 percent, or 272.10 points, to 17,740.05.

Mainland Chinese markets were closed for a holiday.
