MIRPUR: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal Wednesday assured that government would release funds on time for PSDP projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
He was talking to the Prime Minister of AJK, Raja Farooq Haider Khan who called on him.
Both the leaders discussed matters relating to development, CPEC, and situation at the Line of Control. They expressed concern over the situation at LoC and demanded of the international community to take a serious notice of Indian aggression.
Ahsan said development budget of AJK would be further enhanced. He announced full assistance for hydel power and tourism related projects in the state.
The Minister said government of Pakistan would fulfill all its obligations to empower AJK Legislative Assembly and government through constitutional reforms.
The AJK Prime Minister thanked federal government for enhancing development budget of the state.
He said work on the projects in communication, tourism, hydel, industry, agriculture, infrastructure development, health and education are speedily underway.
He said the ongoing projects would be completed within stipulated time.
