MULTAN: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench Friday ordered for handing over a two-month old baby girl to her father.
Petitioner Gull Sher, a resident of Kehror Pakka, informed the court that he had contracted marriage with a girl Shazia of Lodhran on February 17 in 2016. A baby girl was born out of the wedlock. However, on February 2, 2018, Shazia's parents took her away along with her newborn daughter Ayat Noor.
On the orders of the court, the police recovered Shazia and her daughter from the custody of her parents and produced them before the court on Friday.
Shazia informed the court that she wants to go with her parents, and added that her daughter should be handed over to her husband as her parents disliked her and that her life was in danger.
