ICE March white sugar delivery totals 511,750 tonnes

  • The sugar included 205,600 tonnes of Guatemalan white sugar, 122,600 from India, 108,000 from Algeria, 39,550 from Brazil, 30,000 from Egypt and 6,000 from El Salvador.
  • The buyers were BNP Paribas SA (411,750 tonnes) and Sucden Financial (100,000).

LONDON: A total of 511,750 tonnes of white sugar has been tendered against the March contract on ICE Futures Europe, exchange data showed on Monday.

The March contract expired on Friday.

The sugar included 205,600 tonnes of Guatemalan white sugar, 122,600 from India, 108,000 from Algeria, 39,550 from Brazil, 30,000 from Egypt and 6,000 from El Salvador.

The buyers were BNP Paribas SA (411,750 tonnes) and Sucden Financial (100,000).

The sellers were Sucden Financial (153,150 tonnes), StoneX Financial (117,500), Marex Financial (98,900), Louis Dreyfus Company Suisse SA (88,150), Macquarie Bank Limited (28,500), ADM Investor Services (20,550) and BNP Paribas SA (5,000).
