Partly Facetious: 'Go Imran Niazi go'

ARTICLE: "So Shahbaz Sharif is on board with the rest of the opposition on go Imran Niazi go!"

"Hmmmm..."

"What do you mean?"

"Well he is not a natural Pakistani leader of a major party."

"Oh no I hope you are not going to launch into yet another conspiracy theory as to who is the heir apparent...."

"You know that reminds me of one of the Fab Five?"

"Fab Five? I had heard of the Fab Four - you know the two royal brothers William and Harry and their spouses and as you know the Fab Four stands dissolved ...."

"The Pakistani Fab Five are the five advisors to the Prime Minister with the status of a federal minister which means they live off the spoils of the land, read taxes...."

"I had heard some of the Five don't draw a salary!"

"Even if they don't draw a salary they use the house in the minister's enclave, they use the air conditioning in the office and the official car and don't forget the protocol cars..."

"Right but anyway their assets are declared and hoping, unlike our other elite, they actually declared their assets honestly....."

"That would be telling."

"Anyway I was reminded of one of the Fab Five when you mentioned the heir apparent of Nawaz League I was referring to Hafeez Sheikh. In the budget document with respect to expenditure on public sector development programme he broke with past precedence and did not note how much was actually disbursed last year...."

"And you said he doesn't engage in any out of the box thinking!"

"Indeed anyway going back to Shahbaz Sharif why did you say he isn't a natural Pakistani leader of a national party."

"Oh that's easy-peasy. Have you ever noticed where the leaders of national parties sit? I am referring to Nawaz Sharif and Zardari sahib, even his son? Where all present can view the leader who is sitting in the centre of the room. And where does Shahbaz Sharif sit? In one corner....hey even Shahid Khaqan Abbassi sits in the centre or head of a table..."

"SKA has been a prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif...."
