CAA says all licenses issued to pilots are genuine, valid

DG Civil Aviation has revealed that none of the Pakistani pilots have fake licenses and the Pakistan Aviation Authority issued the licenses after following due process.

As per reports, Director General Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Nasir Jami and Secretary Aviation have written a letter to the head of Oman Civil Aviation stating that all the licenses issued to Pakistani pilots have undergone forensic tests.

There are some discrepancies and problems in the computerized exams for licensing and pilots who had even a slight question mark on their licenses have been declared suspicious and grounded and an explanation has been sought.

Jami wrote in his letter that the verification of licenses was done during the aviation reforms, and some shortcomings in the procedure have been identified which are being rectified while after a few computerized objections the suspicious pilots were denied to fly aircraft.

The letter states that the authority has contacted other countries to verify the licenses of 104 pilots, which have been verified.

Pakistan's civil aviation had received questions about pilots from various countries, to which the DGCAA clarified in its letter that all licenses issued to pilots are genuine and valid. The DGCAA said in its letter that news about fake licenses had been misrepresented in the media and social media.
