LAHORE: The Punjab government will build a parking plaza in Murree with the parking capacity of 4000 vehicles. Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed disclosed while addressing a meeting of Murree Improvement Trust here on Friday.
The members of the Trust, including Malik Hameed Majeed, Kamran Khalik and Tariq Faraz, and senior officials were present in the meeting. The Minister also said that strict measures will be taken to remove the encroachments that are creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic, adding that action against encroachments should be ensured to maintain the beauty of the hill station.
He appreciated the Trust for starting development schemes in Muree and asked officials to ensure their timely completion. "Matters pertaining to the Trust are being dealt with in a transparent manner," he added.
