LAHORE: The government is working on a policy to address trade related issues including visa facilitation, of the exporters.

Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP) Director General Mian Riaz Ahmad disclosed this while talking to a five-member delegation of exporters led by Ali Ansar Ghumman, President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GTCCI) here on Monday.

All Pakistan Furniture Maker Association (APFMA) Chairman Muhammad Afzal and GTCCI Secretary General Usman were also present.

He apprised the delegates that he had already taken up the visa related issues of Pakistani exporters to China with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hopefully, the exporters’ trade related issues in this context would be resolved at the earliest.

He added that TDAP would ensure active participation of Pakistani exporters in the China International Furniture Fair to be held in September 2018 and he was discussing the matter with Foreign Mission in Shanghai, China. The DG also spoke about ‘Look Africa’ trade seminar being held at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) tomorrow (Tuesday).

The delegation appreciated this initiative for exploring non-traditional markets for which they were already trying to start business channels.
