KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal on Monday presided over a high-level meeting to discuss security measures for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket match, scheduled to be held in the National Stadium Karachi.
The meeting was attended by home Secretary, IGP Sindh, Additional IG Karachi and law enforcement agencies’ representatives.
Siyal was briefed about the ongoing security preparations and close cooperation between all stakeholders for bring international and national players from their hotel to the stadium.
On this occasion, Siyal said that the PSL match in the National Stadium Karachi would a pride for us. On the instructions of Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, it is our responsibility to take extraordinary security for players and sports officials, he said.
Siyal further said that the PSL match would be a milestone for return of the international sports events in the city.
