Defective Drug Inquiry Tribunal headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday continued proceedings and recorded statements of two witnesses. Ameer Muhammad, Incharge/Head Store Keeper and Abid Niamat, Chief Pharmacist/Incharge Pharmacy, Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore appeared before the tribunal and recorded their statements.
The tribunal questioned them about various aspects of the matter being probed. The tribunal also issued notices to Syed Ali Hassan, ex-Deputy Medical Superintendent (Store) and Jaafar Saleem, ex-Medical Superintendent, PIC Lahore and asked them to appear before the tribunal on Wednesday (today). The Tribunal is conducting its proceedings on day- to-day basis into hospital death case.
