Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has approved a summary to make all record of Law and Parliamentary Affairs department computerised with cost of Rs 170 million, Business Recorder has learnt on Tuesday. Official sources told this scribe that Provincial Law and Parliamentary Affairs department has made a summary on the directives of Minister Ayaz Soomro, which was approved by the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, a few days back.
The concerned officials of department later made PC-1 of the project, which was tabled in the meeting of Provincial Working Development Party (PWDP) and was approved from this technical platform as well, sources added. After completion of said process, the Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ayaz Soomro has called a departmental meeting in this regard and discus this project in detail with concerned officials. Soomro directed the officials to accelerate work on automation project, as the working environment would be improved more, sources said.
Sources further told that work on this automation project would be started very soon, all divisional headquarters would be made online with installation of the said software. The department would introduce E-government, networking, case management and other software with functioning of automation project, they told. They said that officials of the department would be given project-related-trainings as they can do work on automation software easily while, laptops would also be given all concerned officials under this project.
When contacted, Ayaz Soomro termed this project as a step forward towards the real development of PPP-led Sindh government. He said that automation project would make easy the working environment inside the department and the precious record of the department would also be secured for lifetime.
