President Karachi Electronic Dealers Association (KEDA) Owais Memon has requested the federal government, the Chief Minister Sindh and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to direct the customs authorities to release the goods imported from China under Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
He said that the customs authorities refused to clear the imported consignments which had been stuck at the port since one week. He alleged that the authorities were demanding gratification to release the goods. He further said that the customs were also demanding a cash guaranty in the shape of pay order for clearance of the goods.
