The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) lawyers' forum has announced its support to Shafkat Mehmood Chohan as president Lahore High Court Bar Association for forthcoming Bar elections. This was decided in a meeting held with PML-N lawyers' forum President Nasir Bhutta.
The meeting resolved that Chohan had contributed in lawyers' movement a lot and deserve support of the professional lawyers who believe in independence of judiciary and rule of law. The meeting therefore asked all the lawyers affiliated with the forum to vote Chohan for next Bar elections.
