GCU annual sports: Adnan Jahangir sets new record

Government College University's intermediate student Adnan Jahangir has set a new record in Triple Jump on the second day of GCU 112th Annual Sports. Around 600 students and teachers participated in 22 various games. Jahangir jumped to 13.75 metres to pass his previous best of 13.64 metres that was set last year. Earlier, Farooq Hamid kept the record since 1963.
"The beauty of the GCU Annual Sports lies in collective participation of students, teachers and Old Ravians, said Chairman GCU Political Science Department while addressing the prize distribution ceremony at the second day of annual sports. He said that students get inspiration from teachers who instil the real essence of healthy competition among the sportsmen.
