Suparco holds 'Water Rocket Competition'

A water rocket competition was held on October 6 among different public and private school teams. Water rockets are a well known medium for teaching students about the principles of rocket science. Students got an opportunity build and launch their own water rockets.
This year, in honour of Suparco's 50th anniversary, Water Rocket Training Workshops were held at six major cities across Pakistan, namely Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar and Gilgit. During these workshops, teachers from all over the country were briefed about the construction and applications of water rockets.
In Karachi alone, 68 teachers from 35 different schools attended the event. The teachers then passed on this knowledge to their students and the students participated in the second Annual Water Rocket Competition, held on October 6, at Suparco Headquarters in the city.-PR
