Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that ANP has not only accomplished objectives of its political manifesto but has also realised the promises made with the people in connection with the progress and development of the province.
Addressing local notables on the occasion of groundbreaking ceremony of Battagram-Kharakai Road and inauguration of newly constructed category C hospital at Shabqadar, district Charssada on Friday, he said that they believe in practical steps and not in hollow tall claims. He said that the attainment of the identity for 'pakhtuns', provincial rights, increase in resources and provincial autonomy are result of the political acumen and struggle of Asfandyar Wali Khan and other leaders. The construction of road will cost Rs 250 million while the hospital had cost Rs 190 million.
The chief minister announced development package worth millions of rupees for the provincial constituency KP-21. He approved establishment of Girls Degree College in Shabqadar and 10 km long road from Sherpao to Shamsabad costing Rs 139 million. He said that work on Dildar Garhi Bridge will commence within two months that will cost Rs 420 million while reconstruction of Munda Head works will be completed till March with financial implication of Rs 550 million.
The chief minister announced package worth millions for provincial constituency KP-21 which includes up-gradation of schools, establishment of new schools and Community Health Centers, construction of roads, construction of Bacha Khan park at Shabqadar, establishment of science and computer laboratories in schools, construction of additional rooms in schools, bridges, electrification and sanitation works.
The Chief Minister said that ANP has fulfilled all promises made with the people and will do so in future as well. He said that people will not be betrayed by showing off politics without looking at ongoing work on Munda Head-Works. He said that he did not criticise anyone, however, everyone must consider ground realities. He said that he had himself examined Munda Head Works devastation while returning from Swat after last year flooding, added, the system was temporarily revived at a cost of Rs 170 million and these temporary arrangements keep on affecting due to lack of gates on the head-works.
He said that reconstruction of eight gates of the Head Works and much wider bridges for traffic will be completed by March costing Rs 550 million, adding that staff colony and patrolling road are also part of the project. He said that people will feel pleasant change in their lives upon completion of these welfare construction and development projects and economic activities will be increased in district Charsadda.
He said that Charsadda is his second home and its development is not a favour upon anyone but part of his responsibilities, saying Bacha Khan Baba and Abdul Wali Khan Baba had special association with Doaba and Shabqadar. Earlier, presenting the welcome address, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Syed Masoom Shah Bacha thanked the chief minister for approving generous package for development and welfare of people of provincial constituency KP-21.
