The DCO Tando Mohammad Khan Syed Barkat Ahmed Rizvi has said that efforts have been intensified to provide the Pakistan Card to rain-affected people of the district and more Nadra centres to be established in all three talukas to facilitate the rain victims. This he said while visiting the Nadra centres and relief camps established at Tando Mohammad Khan, Bulri Shah Kareem and Tando Ghulam Hyder.
Rizvi said that after draining out water from farm lands, growers would also be assisted for provision of seed and fertilizer for Rabi crop season. He directed the health authorities for speeding up fumigation and awareness campaign among people and taking other precautionary measures to control Malaria and Dengue fever, adding that there was a chance of outbreak of dengue until the stagnant rain water was drained out completely.
He strictly directed District Health authorities and Peoples Primary Health Initiative (PPHI) unit to remain alert till the recession of rain water from whole district. He appealed the public to immediately inform the administration if their residential areas were not fumigated and immediately consult the physicians or medical camps established by administration at different locations in case they were suspected of malaria or dengue fever.
