Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Mashhood Ahmed Khan on Sunday castigated officials for unending load shedding, resulting in misery of dengue patients and hospital machinery in fighting against the menace. He said that price hike of petrol and electricity and CNG would stir the sountry already affected by so-called people-friendly policies of the government.
He said that besides affecting dengue patients, it is also hurting other patients, majority of them who are senior in age, he added.
Mashood said that education of children of the nation, who would carry the nation forward is also being affected. He said aim of the democracy is to create a welfare state, but here 'people-friendly' policies of authoritarian rule have created nothing but misery. He said that PML-N would create a welfare state in the country and its leadership is working hard in this direction. Mashood warned that conspiracies to make Pakistan an economic disaster would be foiled at all costs, and forces of democracy would take the country out of turmoil. Regarding dengue, he said that the provincial government has imported medicines. He supervised anti-dengue spray in different localities of Lahore during the day.
