Four killed in separate incidents

At least four persons were killed in separate incidents in various parts of the metropolis here on Saturday. According to police, a man was shot dead while two others including a woman were injured during an armed clash that sparked at Omar Jogi Goth in the limits of Sacchal police station.
The incident took place near Main University Road, Gulshan Iqbal where two families belonged to Jogi community scuffled with each other over pushcart issue that left 42-year-old Ballu, son of Hashim killed while his brother Jatoi and sister Amna received bullet wounds. Following the incident, the LEAs rushed to the spot and took Javed and Yousuf into custody.
SHO Azhar Ali Iqbal said both parties belonged to Jogi community and engaged in an armed quarrel over the vegetable pushcart that belonged to the victim in the same area where he lived. A case 653/11 was registered against the arrested persons on the complaint of victim son Rano.
A teenage boy committed suicide at his residence located in Gulshan Iqbal in the limits of Gulshan Iqbal police station. 15-year-old Fahad son of Rafique, a resident of Noor Plaza situated at Abul Hassan Ispahani Road, Gulshan Iqbal, hung himself with the help of ropes at ceiling fan. Police said the victim had committed suicide after getting depressed over the punishment given by his parents after he secured poor results in the examination. Police said the victim was a student of class 8th. The body was shifted to a private hospital where his family took his body without completing legal formalities.
A 30-year-old man was crushed to death near Saeedabad police Training Centre in the jurisdiction of Saeedabad police station. The victim Afzal, 30 son of Chand Mohammad, a resident of Baldia, was hit by a speedy vehicle when his bike slipped while taking a U-turn. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. A drowned body of youth namely Hassan Kayani who got missing at Manora Beach on Friday, was recovered at Sea View Beach in the precincts of Darakshan police station.
