THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22: Isaf containers scam: 22 'controversial' officials reinstated

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has re-instated 22 officers of Pakistan Customs Service of Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement Karachi in the ISAF containers scam. In this connection, the FBR issued four notifications on Wednesday for reinstatement of these officers with immediate effect.
According to the notifications, the competent authority has re-instated, without prejudice 22 officers of Pakistan Customs Service into service with immediate effect. On re-instatement, the services of above-named officers are placed at the disposal of Chief Collector (South), Karachi.
The officers who have been re-instated are Jamsher Ali Talpur, Deputy Commissioner (PCS/BS-18), Regional Tax Office (RTO), Karachi; Engr Habib Ahmad, Deputy Collector (PCS/BS-18), Model Customs Collectorate (PACCS), Karachi; Mona Iffat Baloch, Deputy Director (PCS/BS-18), Valuation (Customs) Karachi and Sami ul Haq, Deputy Director (PCS/BS-18), Intelligence and Investigation FBR, Islamabad.
The FBR has also re-instated Abdul Waheed Marwat, Second Secretary (PCS/BS-18), FBR, Islamabad, and Yousaf Haider Orakzai, Second Secretary (PCS/BS-18), FBR, Islamabad.
Through another notification, the competent authority has re-instated, without prejudice the following officers of Pakistan Customs Department into service with immediate effect: Agha Muhammad Aslam, Principal Appraiser (BS-16), MCC, Appraisement, Karachi; Sadar Amin Farooqi, Principal Appraiser (BS-16), MCC, Appraisement, Karachi; Niamatullah Alvi, Principal Appraiser (BS-16), MCC, Appraisement, Karachi and S.M Wasim Kazmi, Officiating Principal Appraiser (BS-15), MCC Appraisement, Karachi; Tariq Aziz, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Preventive, Karachi; Abdul Aziz Umrani, Appraiser (BS-15), PCA, Karachi; Ghulam Muhammad, Appraiser (BS-15),MCC of Appraisement, Karachi; Sikandar Ali Junejo, Appraiser (BS-15), PCA, Karachi; Bashir Ahmad Sehar, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Exports, Karachi; Abbas Khan, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Appraisement, Karachi; Anjum Barakzai, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Appraisement, Karachi; Anwar Khan, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Exports, Karachi; Nawab Touqir Ahmad, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Preventive, Karachi; Munir Ahmad Barohi, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Appraisement, Karachi; Qaiser Nadeem Chattha, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Appraisement, Karachi and Noor Akbar Mehar, Appraiser (BS-15), MCC of Appraisement, Karachi.
