After completion of fumigation campaign, all the schools and colleges will be reopened from Monday (September 26). The Punjab government has already issued detailed instructions to the heads of educational institutions asking them to ensure neat and clean environment in their respective institutions failing which necessary action will be taken, sources said.
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has announced that no professional MBBS or BDS examination is being postponed due to dengue fever and all examinations will commence as per their notified schedule. A spokesman of the UHS said here on Saturday that as per notified schedule, first professional MBBS part I annual examination will commence on October 18; first professional part II, September 27; second professional, November 10; third professional, November 22; and final professional MBBS annual examinations for all affiliated medical colleges will commence on December 24.
Similarly, first professional BDS annual examination would start on October 3; second professional, October 11; third professional, October 15 and final professional BDS annual examination would commence on November 15. The spokesman further said that those candidates who could not appear in the annual examinations would have to appear in supplementary exams scheduled in two months time.
