GSC Directorate of Fesco has completed 7 grids stations' expansion projects with the loan facility of Asian Development Bank (ADB), disclosed Sheikh Akhtar Hussain Manager GSC.
Addressing a function to commission upgraded transformer at 132-KV Wan Bachran grid station, he said that Fesco has been implementing an ambition development and expansion project to upgrade and replenish its distribution and transmission system in 8 districts of Faisalabad and Sargodha divisions. He said that Fesco was spending Rs 2 billion per annum on the construction of new grids from its own resources.
Similarly it was also getting loans from ADB to upgrade its grid stations and system, in this connection Sheikh Akhtar Hussain said that 7 expansion projects has been completed with Rs 480 million. The capacity of transformer bay line, PT, ISO Bay and transformer at 132-KV Kud Luthi grid station has been enhanced with Rs 43 million.
Similarly a power transformer of 20/26 MVA has been installed in addition to improving the capacity of transformer, bay and bus bar at 132-KV Jhang-II grid station with Rs 71 million. He said that 20/26 MVA power transformer has also been installed at 132-KV Gojra grid station, similarly a 20/26 MVA power transformer has been installed along with transformer bay at 132-KV Wan Bachran grid station with Rs 62.3 million. Continuing he said that 20/26 MVA power transformer along with transformer bay and bus bar has been provided at 132-KV HB Shah grid station with Rs 76.6 million.
