Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell - DEC, Karachi Airport Unit recovered and seized two and half kilogram (2.5-kg) fine quality Heroin from a handbag at Jinnah International Airport. According to details, Customs DEC staff in pursuance of a secret tipoff, intercepted an abandoned bag at the Customs Mishandled Baggage Section of the Jinnah International Airport.
Upon examination the handbag was found to contain one packet made up of plastic adhesive tapes containing light brown Heroin powder. According to the tags attached to the Heroin bag, it had arrived from Toronto by Flight PK-782 on 1st July and was lying in the mishandled baggage as unclaimed. It may also be worth mentioning here that it is the second interception of heroin bag by Customs at mishandled baggage section within a span of seven days.-PR
