Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has decided to launch an effective mass movement to press the government for solution to the problems being faced by the growers in general and farmers and people of the flood-hit areas in particular.
KBP Central President Sardar Zafar will be meeting the KBP office-bearers of Bahawalnagar tomorrow while his general secretary Ramzan Rohari will hold meetings with the KBP office-bearers and workers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province on September 21, 2011 to review the hardships being faced by the growers of tobacco, sugarcane, cotton and those living the flood-hit areas.
They will also discuss other problems being faced by the farmers such as fertiliser shortage and its high prices, unjustifiable increase in the prices of electricity and problems faced by the sugarcane growers. Both these meetings will also discuss ways and means to launch an effective protest movement to press the government for an early solution of these hardships.
According to the KBP Secretary Information Haji Muhammad Ramzan, the Board's Central Chief Sardar Zafar will be holding meetings in Bahawalnagar on September 21, Vehari September 22, Multan September 23, Rahim Yar Khan September 24, Rajanpur September 25 and Muzaffargarh on September 26, 2011 to mobilise the workers and growers for launching a forceful movement to resolve all the problems being faced by the growers' community.
