Plea for relaxation in upper age limit: LHC issues notice to chairman PPSC
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued notice to Chairman, Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), for September 21 in a petition seeking relaxation in upper age limit for the posts of lecturers. The petitioner, Mubeen Umar, also prayed the court to postpone the exams and grant age relaxation to non-government candidates.
The petitioner stated that PPSC invited applications and upper age limit had been fixed at 33 years. She pointed out that Chairman PPSC announced September 23 as date for the written exams, which, she said, is very injustice as only 10 days had been given to the candidates for preparation for the exams.
