Karli police arrest two street criminals

Karli Police arrested two street criminals from Maripur Road and recovered illegal weapons from their possession late on Saturday night. An official at the station said that during patrolling the police intercepted two suspected men at Maripur road near Crown Cinema, but they opened fire on police.
After encounter police arrested both accused, identified as Imran s/o Allah Ditta and Luqman s/o Raza Khan and recovered two TT pistols, two magazines and 08 cartridges from their possession. Both accused were involved in various street crimes in the city, police said.
Police registered FIR No 200 and 201/2011 under section 13/D Pakistan Penal Code against arrested accused and started probe.
