The three projects are part of the Turkish humanitarian initiative for Pakistani flood-hit people. The Prime Minister pushed a button to activate heavy construction equipment that started preparing concrete to initiate the construction work. Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Babur Hizlan was also present in the ceremony.
The New Muzaffargarh City project would comprise 1274 houses over a 432-kanal piece of land in the city's suburbs. 500 houses would be built in Fazalpur and another 346 in Jampur areas of Rajanpur district. The cost of the projects in Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh districts was estimated at US $65 million.
