Nabeel Shaukat from Lahore was named the winner of the Azme Alishan National Song Competition Season 2 for his song "Hai Ye Pakistan", during a special two-hour TV programme aired on Sunday night on major TV channels. This year's National Song Competition Season 2 from Azme Alishan provided a platform for young Pakistanis to express themselves through their music for the betterment of the country.
It also aimed to highlight social and charitable causes initiated by committed Pakistanis. Nabeel's Azm was to promote the cause of education and he displayed this resolve by actively participating with Manzil - an NGO that establishes educational institutions in deprived areas for disadvantaged children, to support the cause.
Fuzon- Pakistan's internationally acclaimed rock band, with Rameez Mukhtar- the lead vocalist, Shallum Xavier - lead guitarist/music producer, and Emu - music composer and producer, acted as judges. Speaking after his victory at the Grand Finale, a very excited Nabeel expressed his happiness and reaffirmed his Azm to work for a better Pakistan.-PR
