Rozee.pk, Pakistan's leading online job portal, was awarded the prestigious 'Brands Icon of 2011' by the Brands Foundation at an exclusive awards ceremony held at Governor' House here. In addition, Rozee.pk also received 'Brand of the Year' award in the jobs sector for the second year running.
The winners received the awards at an exclusive ceremony, held on July 30th. Monis Rahman, founder and chief executive officer of Naseeb Networks - the parent company of Rozee.pk - was presented the award by Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani. Commenting on the win, Monis Rahman said, "We are really honoured to have been presented this award. At Rozee, we pride ourselves on thinking big - this means not only considering how we can help build and grow the brand, but more so, what we can do to help develop the nation. We are grateful for the fact that Brands Foundation and our peers have recognised our contributions and commitment."
Rozee.pk has already cemented its reputation as one of the country's fastest growing companies. Earlier this year, the company was listed amongst the AllWorld Network's Pakistan Fast Growth 25, a ranking of fastest growing entrepreneurial companies in the country. Pakistan Fast Growth 25 is a programme of AllWorld Network in partnership with Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter and was launched in collaboration with JS Bank Limited. Rahman and Rozee.pk were also recently profiled in the Asia edition of Forbes magazine, focusing on the company's phenomenal growth and success.
The selection process for this year's awards was extremely rigorous with hundreds of brands requesting nomination, even though the process was closed. The finalists were selected following extensive internal analysis on the basis of input from professional, educated consumers, as well as a detailed quantitative consumer survey analysing consumer mindset, brand perception and preference.
Over 15,000 qualified respondents were surveyed to ascertain their views relating to brand quality, affordability, familiarity and availability. The finalists were graded on various qualities, including market standing, popularity, recognition, corporate structure, and consumer preference. Over 1,100 of the country's most prominent brands were selected by a panel consisting of leading national and international brand experts.
Of these, 180 brands were awarded 'Brand of the Year' status, across 176 various categories. A final list of 13 of the most outstanding brands were awarded 'Brand Icon of the Year' status; this award is given to those brands that have set the bar on establishing an icon of excellence. It takes years of careful planning and exceptional brand management for a brand to be awarded 'Brand Icon of the Year' status. Alongpwith Rozee.pk, some other brands that were presented this prestigious award included Pakistan International Airlines, EFU and IBM.
Brands Foundation is a public company established as a non-profit organisation comprised of high profile bureaucrats, learned professionals, reputable journalists, businessmen and philanthropists passionate about building Pakistan's own brand identity. It is dedicated to the promotion of brand excellence and improvement of branding standards in Pakistan. Each year, the foundation holds its annual brands of the year awards, taking place since 2007, and select the country's leading brands from a wide range of categories.-PR
