Telenor Pakistan Limited, which is the single largest European indirect investor in Pakistan with $2 billion investment and has plans to invest more, hosted a dinner reception at a local hotel here on Monday. The dinner was attended Jon Fredrick Bakaas Telenor Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hakon Kajol, Executive Vice President Asia, Christian Albech country head, Telenor Pakistan Regional Communication Manager Affan Haider and many others.
The event was also attended by opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz. Telenor Pakistan is second largest cellular phone company in Pakistan which connects an estimated 25.5 million Pakistanis across the country. The company is providing a number of services to its customers including mobile data services; and easypaisa, which enables users to make bill payments, and send and receive money at various outlets, as well as to manage their bank accounts over their mobile phones in Pakistan.
Talking to Business Recorder Telenor Pakistan Regional Communication Manager Affan Haider said that the company was the single largest European foreign indirect investor in Pakistan, adding that so far Telenor has invested $2 billion in the country and in future it would bring additional investment to Pakistan.
