Nasreen Yousaf, a student of Punjab Education Foundation partner school in Lahore has secured 1st position in the four month long "Certificate in Culinary Skills" course launched under the Skills Development Programme of Punjab Education Foundation.
The course was arranged in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) in Gulberg in which a total of 40 students belonging to various NGOs and the hotel industry took part. According to the spokesman of Punjab Education Foundation, Rabia Iftikhar, Muhammad Faizan, Nadia Ramzan, Nasreen Yousaf and Ali Akbar enrolled in EVS partner schools situated in various poor city localities were selected by the PEF to get this training free of cost.
This programme is launched to train the secondary school students in various useful technical and vocational courses so that they could get respectable employment opportunities. The certificate distribution ceremony was held in COTHM, which was attended among others by the Chairman Tevta, Saeed Alvi, Chairman Navtec Mumtaz Kahlon, Executive Director Akhwat Dr Amjad Saqib and representatives of Punjab Education Foundation.-PR
